At the Anti-Knife Crime Community Football Match at Arbour Park, on 22 May, the community came together to promote unity, safety, and positive change. Organised in partnership with Thames Valley Police and local community organisations, the event brought together families, young people, emergency services, and local partners under the message: “No Knives, Just Vibes.”
Among those supporting the event were Sarah McFaul, Newly Qualified Paramedic, and Henry Thomas-Foy, Paramedic, who delivered practical demonstrations on responding to knife injuries and performing CPR. Their sessions gave attendees valuable lifesaving knowledge, showing how quick action and basic first aid can make a critical difference in an emergency.
The evening combined football, education, and community engagement to encourage positive conversations around violence prevention and public safety. Through teamwork and collaboration, the event highlighted the importance of supporting young people and building a safer, stronger community for everyone.
