Join our Council of Governors

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS) is urging local people across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire to help shape the development of the Trust’s emergency and non-emergency services by standing for election to the Council of Governors.

There are three public governor seats for residents in Hampshire, two in Berkshire, two in Buckinghamshire and three in Oxfordshire.

To be eligible to stand for election as a public governor you must be aged 16 or over, be a public member of the Trust (you can join online in a few minutes here: www.scas.nhs.uk/ft), and be resident in the county you wish to represent.

Trevor Jones, Chairman of South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, said:

“Our Council of Governors is the voice of local people helping to set the strategic direction of the Trust, based on members’ views, and holding the Trust Board to account. The current Council works well but is determined to improve and we are looking for new governors who have an interest in local health services, to come and help make a positive contribution to the development of SCAS.”

Interested members of the public can self-nominate for election as a Governor and nominations need to be received by Thursday 27 October 2016.
