Brave fundraisers are being invited to step over the edge and take on an unforgettable challenge in support of South Central Ambulance Charity at the iconic Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth on Saturday, 12 September 2026.
Participants will descend 100 metres down the side of one of the South Coast’s most recognisable landmarks whilst raising vital funds to support South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) staff, volunteers, patients and communities across the region.
The thrilling abseil offers supporters the chance to experience breathtaking views across Portsmouth Harbour, the Solent and beyond, while making a real difference to the lives of those who rely on ambulance services every day.
Funds raised through the event will help South Central Ambulance Charity continue its work supporting the wellbeing of ambulance staff and volunteers, enhancing patient care, improving community resilience and funding projects that go beyond NHS provision.

The charity is encouraging people of all experience levels to sign up. No previous abseiling experience is necessary, as full training and safety equipment will be provided by qualified instructors on the day.
Whether taking part in memory of a loved one, celebrating a personal milestone or simply looking for a new challenge, participants will be helping South Central Ambulance Charity continue its important work across the region.
