South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) was delighted to support Family Festival 2026 at Victoria Park on Saturday 25 July, helping families enjoy a fantastic day of activities and community engagement.
Matthew Day, Military Co-Responder, represented SCAS at the event, meeting families and giving visitors the opportunity to find out more about the ambulance service and the work of our emergency responders.
Victoria Park remained busy throughout the day, with families coming together to enjoy the wide range of free and low-cost activities on offer. The festival was designed to provide an accessible and enjoyable day out for the local community, and organisers received wonderful feedback from families who attended.
Following the event, Natasha Solanki, Home Start, Portsmouth, thanked everyone involved for helping to make the festival such a success, saying:
“Nearly a week later and we’re still buzzing from what a great day Family Festival 2026 was! There is not enough gratitude to you for being a part of it and making the day what it was and such a huge success – thank you!”
Events like this provide an important opportunity for SCAS colleagues to meet people in a relaxed community setting, build relationships with local families and help people learn more about their ambulance service.
A huge thank you to Matthew for representing SCAS and supporting such a successful community event.
