Henry Thomas-Foye visited The Wren School in November to speak with students about his work at SCAS and the vital role the ambulance service plays in the community. During the session, he guided students through what to do in an emergency, helping them understand how to stay calm, act quickly, and give clear information when calling 999.

He also delivered a powerful and practical demonstration on first aid for a knife wound — an increasingly important skill for young people to understand. Students learned how to assess the situation safely, apply pressure correctly, and support someone until professional help arrives.

Caroline Mackay, Assistant Vice Principal, praised the impact of the visit, saying:

“Henry gave a very informative and useful presentation, and it was a great day for our students.

The session left students feeling more confident, more informed, and better prepared to help others in a crisis — a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone involved.
