The High Sherriff of Hampshire Community Awards recognise the work of public servants, volunteers and community groups who have made an extraordinary contribution to Hampshire communities.
We are delighted that one of our community first responders (CFRs), Ian Taylor, was successfully nominated and received his award yesterday (6 March) from High Sherriff, Jon Whitaker.
Ian’s nomination read:
“Ian has been a CFR volunteer for South Central Ambulance Charity for over 12 years. During this time, he has been a key figure in growing and supporting the CFR scheme, showing true dedication both to responding to 999 calls and fundraising for the charity.”
“Ian volunteers his time as a coordinator for Wellow while supporting new volunteers and the team around him. He also takes time to raise awareness of life saving CPR and community based defibrillators. He is an incredible fundraiser, raising over £21,000 in three years.”
“Ian has gone over and above to build strong relationships on behalf of the charity and has always been a wonderful member of the team.”
Well done, Ian!
