Aneel Pattni

Chief Finance Officer

I joined South Central Ambulance Service in October 2022 to lead the finance and estates operations of the organisation.

My role is to ensure that the Trust meets its core financial and estates objectives, complying with statutory and legal requirements, without sacrificing clinical standards, patient care and financial imperatives.

I was previously the Deputy Chief Finance Officer at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust and bring a breadth of experience in senior finance roles at Barts Health NHS Trust, Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, NHS London, and Monitor. I have advised Boards on all aspects of financial strategy and financial management, providing financial leadership in operational matters, and working collaboratively with partners on service transformations and improvements. I previously worked for KPMG, delivering audit and assurance reviews, and subsequently in KPMG Transaction Services advising on mergers and acquisitions across a wide range of clients.

I am passionate about delivering improvements in health and wellbeing for communities we serve. I am the Vice Chair of the Healthcare Finance Management Association (HFMA) South Central Branch. I have qualified with and am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.

My core responsibilities include:

  • The Trust’s financial accounting arrangements meet our external set standards
  • The Trust meets all its financial targets
  • The Trust has a medium to long term financial plan
  • The Trust delivers services that are cost effective and represent Value for Money
  • The Trust has an estates and environmental strategy and its implementation
