Chief Finance Officer
Stuart has over 28 years’ experience in the NHS and 16 years in finance roles, including working at Board level.
Stuart initially joined the NHS as part of the National Finance Management Training Scheme, progressing to hold a number of senior positions in the NHS. These include chief finance officer for Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, covering Finance, Facilities & Estates and Procurement, Northamptonshire CCG; chief finance officer for Nene and Corby CCGs; director of finance, contracting and performance of Shropshire Community Health Trust; and director of finance and performance for Shropshire County PCT.
In his spare time he enjoys triathlons, from sprint to full ironman distances!
Chief Fiance Officer core responsibilities include ensuring the Trust:
- has financial accounting arrangements that meet externally set standards
- meets all its financial targets
- has a medium to long term financial plan
- delivers services that are cost effective and represent value for money
- has an estates and environmental strategy and its implementation.
