We are pleased to announce the upcoming elections for new governors at SCAS. We will be appointing eight public governors, one Community First Responder, and two staff governors.

The election process will open on 9 December for applications from people interested in being a governor. Elections will then follow in January/February 2026.

If you are passionate about healthcare, want to represent your community, or are interested in being part of a team that drives positive change, we invite you to consider standing for election as a governor.

Professor Sir Keith Willett, Trust Chair, said: “Governors play an essential role in making a difference to our ambulance service and they support our work to reduce health inequalities by engaging with underrepresented communities. It’s a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference. Governors act as a voice for our patients, staff, and local communities, ensuring that we remain focused on the needs of those we serve.”

Helen Ramsay, Lead Governor, added: “Being a governor is an exciting opportunity to influence decision-making and contribute to the direction of the Trust. Governors have a key role in holding the non-executive directors to account on the performance of the Board and providing valuable feedback on the services SCAS provides.”
