Learn to become a lifesaver online

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS) is urging the public to become lifesavers by signing up for a free 20-minute training event on Wednesday, 1 October.

Restart a Heart Live will take place online between 9am and 9pm and is a free, inclusive CPR and defibrillator training event that anyone can attend, and no equipment is required.

Training sessions will be repeated on the hour, every hour, with the 10am and 11am sessions particularly suited to primary school aged children (5-11 years old) with later sessions aimed at the wider public.

Hosted by the Scottish Ambulance Service, in partnership with Save a Life for Scotland, Save a Life Cymru, Resuscitation Council UK, and the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives, the event last year smashed a Guinness World Record with over 5,000 members of the public tuning in. This year the hosts are taking the event nationwide and are hoping to build on the number of people learning life-saving skills.
