Thank you to all the schools who helped make this year’s Restart a Heart week an incredible success.
Over 16,000 young people were trained in Basic Life Support and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), absolutely smashing our target of 10,000!
Dave Hamer, Paramedic and Operations Manager for our Community Engagement and Training team, said: “The success of this year’s campaign is down to the fantastic commitment from schools all across Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire; and the hard work and passion of the SCAS staff and volunteers who give their time to train young people in these essential skills.”
“I’ve seen countless congratulatory posts, and thank you emails, and it’s clear the sessions were a big hit. That success belongs to every volunteer who gave their time and energy to make a difference.”
Restart a Heart is an annual event, and it won’t belong before planning starts for 2026, which we’ll be aiming to make even bigger than this year.
