Falls and Frailty: Understanding and Preventing Falls in Later Life – a guide to frailty, falls, and hospital care for older adults and their families.

Please join us for an online public talk on 19 June from 6:00 – 7:00 pm

This talk will explore the connection between falls and frailty in later life, with a focus on practical steps for prevention, what happens when a fall occurs, and what to expect during hospital care and recovery. We’ll look at common risk factors for falls, how frailty can affect recovery, and ways to stay safer and more independent for longer. The session will also cover what typically happens if someone is admitted to hospital after a fall, including assessments, treatment, and discharge planning. Whether you’re concerned for yourself or supporting someone else, this talk will provide valuable insights into staying steady, recovering well, and navigating care confidently.
