The research team in SCAS has published its latest annual report which details the projects the team has been working on over the last financial year (April 2024-March 2025).
In summary, the team has:
- enrolled nearly 1,000 service users and staff into research projects
- produced 29 publications in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to one book and made eight conference/meeting presentations
- completed data collection on three research studies and continues to collect data for a further eight ongoing projects
- contributed to a national workshop to prioritise the top 20 research questions for sepsis identification, patient treatment and subsequent care
Research activity levels in SCAS are amongst the highest throughout UK ambulance services and the team continues to enhance the trust’s reputation for producing high quality data for research.
