Elected in 2023 as one of three Public Governors for Buckinghamshire, Paul has embraced the opportunity to represent local communities within SCAS.
Since joining, Paul has met with frontline ambulance staff, volunteers, and dispatchers, as well as attending public events to raise awareness of the vital services SCAS provides.
“It’s been incredibly rewarding to learn about the different roles across the ambulance service,” Paul said. “Visiting the Blue Light Hub and seeing the dedication of our teams first-hand really highlights the professionalism and compassion behind every call.”
As a Public Governor, Paul helps ensure the public’s voice is heard in conversations about how SCAS is run and how services can continue to evolve to meet community needs.
“Being a governor is a meaningful way to give something back to the NHS,” Paul added. “I’d encourage anyone who believes strongly in their local health services to consider standing in the upcoming elections.”
We are looking to appoint:
- 8 Public Governors
- 1 Community First Responder Governor
- 2 Staff Governors
Election voting will then take place in January and February 2026
