Duncan Robertson
CHIEF PARAMEDIC
The Chief Paramedic is a new Board level role in SCAS created in 2024. Duncan joined us in Autumn 2024 on a 12-month secondment basis from the Welsh Ambulance Service University Trust where he was Assistant Director for Clinical Development. Duncan was later appointed to the permanent role in 2025.
The Chief Paramedic’s responsibilities include:
- Paramedic professional leadership
- Paramedic professional education
- Medicines/pharmacy
- Research and audit
- Paramedic advance and specialist practice
