We were delighted to welcome colleagues, Simon Amphlett and Justine Cosby, from the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust to our Southern House base at Otterbourne, Hampshire, yesterday.
Simon and Justine are mental health specialists at WAST and visited to get a greater insight and understanding of how we operate our mental health response vehicles in Hampshire. Hosted by Steve Jephcote, Lydia Curran and Mat Purssey, the WAST team spent time out on calls with the mental health response vehicles, as well as talking to colleagues in our clinical co-ordination centre.
It was an enjoyable and informative visit, with Simon and Justine returning home to Wales to use their experiences with SCAS to review against their own service they provide to patients.
