Where operationally possible, staff and volunteers across SCAS joined a minute’s silence at 12 noon on Tuesday 23rd March to reflect and connect as part of the National Day of Reflection.
We particularly remembered our friends and colleagues who are sadly no longer with us.
The day marked the first anniversary of the first UK lockdown and the National Day of Reflection has been spearheaded by end of life charity, Marie Curie UK.
Marie Curie estimates that over three million people have been bereaved since the pandemic began, yet many have been unable to properly say goodbye to loved ones or grieve.
Here we have a lovely photo from Sally who works in our Sussex PTS team showing how she was taking a moment to remember:
Although it was a busy day for our 999 control room team in Bicester, those who were able to did observe the minute’s silence.
Our 999, 111 and PTS control room teams have done an incredible job over the last 12 months.
