Hi, my name is Laurence and I’m one of the public governors for Berkshire.
I’m a trainee GP in Berkshire. Having completed 6 months in General Practice, I am now working as a doctor in Accident and Emergency. Working on the front line as a hospital doctor means I have frequent interactions with SCAS crew members. I constantly see the huge difference that an effective ambulance service can make to patients and their family’s lives.
My experience within the NHS has also taught me about the importance of speaking up when you can see something that needs to be done better, and not just accepting the status quo.
Before becoming a doctor I worked in politics as a researcher. I feel this gives me a unique insight into comprehending how the service runs from a bigger picture as well as the front line.
I consider myself to be very approachable and if you have any queries or concerns, don’t hesitate to get in contact with me.
