MAY MORNING, OXFORD
The celebration of May Day in Oxford goes back over five centuries. The Magdalen College choir began its performance at 6am and this was followed by dancing and music across Oxford throughout the morning.
Around 13,500 Oxford residents and visitors saw in May Morning this year, and whilst they haven’t quite been present for the full 500 years, once again our team of local community first responders were on hand to support SCAS frontline staff in providing medical cover for the event.
Bransgore, Hampshire – Rotary Fun Day
In May 2019, our amazing team of volunteers from Bransgore in the New Forest, attended the Bransgore Rotary Fun Day, helping train local people in vital lifesaving skills such as CPR and how to use a defibrillator, as well as raising awareness of the numerous other ways local CFRs support people in the New Forest communities.
All of our CFRs across the SCAS region, as well as providing on-call medical cover in their local communities, also give up so much time to attend community events. Thank you all!
