I am delighted to have been elected as a Governor for SCAS and would like to thank all those who voted for my election. I live in Earley with my wife and three young children. I graduated in 99 having completed my training in Operating Department Practice through Thames Valley University. During my hospital career my enthusiasm for teaching grew. I progressed to qualify as a Trainer, Assessor and IQA.
I decided to start my training business and now run my company located at The University of Reading providing a range of Medical & Health and Safety training courses. I am an operational Community First Responder and the Coordinator of the Earley and Lower Earley Ambulance First Responder schemes for SCAS. I have a very keen interest in business, management and pre hospital care and am looking forward to becoming an active member of the Council of Governors and representing the members of Berkshire to SCAS. SCAS just like all ambulance services is under immense pressure operationally and financially, however this should never affect its ability to deliver the best possible care to the public.
I will do my best to ensure your views are represented in all decisions that are made. I look forward to meeting our members at events and public meetings.
