SCAS urges the public to use the ambulance service wisely
South Central Ambulance Service NHS Trust is managing their response to 999 calls is their area during the strike but urge the public to use the service wisely.
We are working with our partners and have contingency plans in place to ensure the safety of our patients. Members of the public can help us reach the patients in the greatest need by not calling us in less urgent medical situations and considering more appropriate care providers.
Ian Ferguson, Chief Operating Officer: "I'd urge people to choose well and use the ambulance service wisely. Please only call us in an emergency.''
If you are unsure if your medical situation requires urgent or emergency care please read our choose well information.
